In May 2022, the independent review of children’s social care published its final report on the children’s social care system in England. Evidence was collected from public engagement, evidence gathering exercises and visits to local areas, with the aim of identifying recommendations for the improvement of the system.
The report makes recommendations which focus on a new ‘family help’ model of practice.

The GSCP will be working closely with our partners in Children’s Social Care to support them in the implementation of any future changes arising from this report and we will provide future updates regarding these.
