NSPCC Learning has updated its information on managing allegations of abuse to include more information about organisations’ legal duty to refer people who leave their organisation because they harmed or might have been at risk of harming a child to the relevant disclosure and barring agency. The guidance sets out the criteria for referring and explains that referrals should provide as much supporting evidence as possible without identifying any child by name.
