Health and Care Act 2022 Guidance

Date: Wednesday, 21st Sep 2022 | Category: General

The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has published three new guidance documents explaining recent changes to the health and care system in England introduced by the Health and Care Act 2022.

The new statutory guidance on preparing integrated care strategies places a responsibility on integrated care partnerships (ICPs) to consider how the health and wellbeing outcomes of babies, children, young people and families can be met and improved.

The other two guidance documents provide clarification on the roles of newly established integrated care boards (ICBs) and ICPs, as well as the ongoing role of health and wellbeing boards (HWBs).

The Institute of Health Visiting (IHV) has published a summary the recent changes, which you can read here
