Free Conference Child Q – How can African and Caribbean children be safeguarded?

Date: Tuesday, 31st May 2022 | Category: General

In the GSCP we have been busy responding to the recommendations in the Child Q Report and there are Actions Plans, as well as a Task and Finish Group that have been established across the partnership to embed the learning from the report and ensure an incident like this does not happen in Greenwich. If you wish to contribute please speak to your manager to see how your agency is involved, or email us at GSCP@royalgreenwich.gov.uk.

London South Bank University (LSBU) are providing a free conference focusing on Child Q and the harm that was caused to her.

The confirmed speakers include:
• Diane Abbott MP
• Rosemary Campbell-Stephens MBE , educator & activist,
• Jacqueline Sey, Specialist Nurse
• Shantel Thomas, anti racism lead for the British Association of Social Workers (BASW)
• Ade Solarin, Inspection Lead, National Child Protection & Joint Inspections.

The conference is open to all and more details can be found here.
