Welcome to the latest issue of the GSCP Newsletter! I hope you all had an enjoyable summer.

The GSCP Business Unit is continuing to work through the calendar invitations and forward plans to ensure the new governance structures are in place and we thank you for your continued cooperation during this period of change.

Following Ofsted’s review of sexual abuse in schools and colleges last year, the DfE invited safeguarding partners to a series of events to discuss the local and national issues that safeguarding partners face in relation to sexual harassment and abuse in schools and to share emerging practice in responding to the issues. You can view the findings, which include useful resources and toolkits here.

The GSCP Business Unit has launched a new E-Learning Multi-Agency Safeguarding Training Programme which enables partners to access a varied collection of webcasts ranging from 20 to 60 minutes in length. The subjects range from Adolescent Mental Health to Professional Curiosity and so much more in between. Please take a look and share amongst your colleagues and teams: Greenwich Safeguarding Children Board – Learning Management System.

Best wishes
