The GSCP has been working on some exciting things over the past few weeks including the planning of our annual conference, which was unfortunately postponed due to the pandemic. Our conference will be held on 17th March 2022 and will focus on Safeguarding Children with Additional Needs. Please hold the date in your diaries!
As part of the DfE’s Early Adopter Programme back in 2018/19 Bexley, Greenwich and Lewisham agreed to form a Tri-borough Multi-Agency Learning Forum with a purpose of sharing learning across the three areas, including from local child safeguarding practice reviews, local learning reviews, audits and inspections.
- The aim of the Forum is to share the learning from recent local learning reviews more widely than just the immediate local area, so that common themes across the three areas can be identified and where learning is particular to one local area, neighbouring boroughs can consider how it might apply to them and pre-empt potential issues.
- This is particularly important given that all three areas share a Borough Command Unit (BCU) and an acute NHS hospital trust.
The Tri-Borough Learning Forum will be holding two learning events for practitioners across all three areas in September 2021 so please keep an eye out for these dates and how to sign up.
We hope you find our latest newsletter informative and interesting and we wish you all a lovely summer. We will be back with our Autumn edition of the newsletter but in the meantime, the GSCP will have a stall at the Royal Greenwich Together 21 event being held on 21st August in Charlton Park. Please feel free to come and see us there!
